G1.5 blogs: Elvira vs Klee (Guardian Tales vs Genshin Impact)

Elvira, the reservoir snakes' wanted young rising star from Guardian Tales

Klee, the knights of Favonius' young explosive pyrotechnic from Genshin Impact 


explosions are extremely deadly, bringing nothing but death and destruction to all that come their way, but these two utilize explosions to blow away those who stand in their way and fish in lakes. They may look young, but these two differ from the elves you want to mess with. Unless you are a blonde-haired protagonist then it's a different story. Will Elvira continue to be on the run or will Klee be the knight to stop her? 


       Before we start 

We will compare Elvira to other elves like desert elves because they are part of the same physiology but not the feats they performed. We will also compare Klee to other Pyro Visions users but not their feats. The information that will be used will be Red Hood Quest and The Old, The Angry and Weird Snake short story for Elvira and Klee's quest for her.

Background


"Red Hooded Rascal. She doesn't fear wolves anymore."


Have you heard the old folktale of Little Red Riding Hood a little girl who goes to visit her grandma's house only to encounter a big bad wolf? Well, what if the story took a turn for the better? In the world of Guardian Tales, there was a grandma who survived a traumatic wolf attack. This left her traumatized to the point where she hired prime contractors armed with the most illegal weapons to protect her family(neato). Soon the grandma discovered she had good talent as a mafia boss and quickly evolved from a small army to the biggest crime syndicate the Reservoir Snakes. This was the story of Elvira's grandma.

Elvira begging to be a part to become a member of the Reservoir Snakes. Soon she became a member of the syndicate. However, what Elvira was unaware of was that the syndicate is ruthless to failures to where if any member fails no one knows what happens to them. Now Elvira's basket is no longer filled with snacks and sweets but filled with deadly explosives and firearms. being the youngest in the syndicate nothing bad should happen to her, right? Unfortunately, she picked a fight with a certain dumb face knight and lost leading to her getting expelled because of the rules. 

Not only was Elvira expelled from the syndicate, but she was being hunted. From being the boss's granddaughter and rising executive candidate to being the syndicate's target. Now on the run she eventually met Rosetta, another Reservoir Snakes member.  Rosetta made Elvira her apprentice and made her go through harsh training. Soon after 3 days, Elvira became stronger to where Rosetta awarded her... With her tab which led to her being even more wanted by debt collectors  And a new weapon yay? Thanks to the new weapon she got she no longer needs to run away from the gang members finally giving her the protection she needed.

What is the color of destruction is it Grey? No pink? Not even that green? The true chaotic color is red; she likes to blow up stuff, leaving nothing but dust. This is The Red Knight and this said knight resides in Mondstadt. Locked away in solitary confinement for all the death and destruction the knight has brought. This said red knight is........ A young girl?

Yes, all the potential deaths and destruction through Mondstadt. Klee is a young elf-like girl who loves explosions instead of loving toys like a normal young kid. Taking after her mother Alice a famous adventurer with many skills she was Klee's biggest role model. Klee was entrusted to the Knights of Favonius by Alice and her father. Klee met many knights like Jean Temu Saber, Red Hair Bruce Wayne Diluc, and others. All the knights loved Klee and she even helped the knights thus granting Klee the name the Spark Knight. Klee improved Amber's Baron Bunny to be even more powerful.

Like any kid, Klee has gotten into trouble because of her love for Explosions. You know from fish blasting to LEVELLING ENTIRE MOUNTAINS. This is why Grandmaster Jean watches over her from all the carts being blasted and shacks being burnt down Jean would always be upset from all the chaos she would bring. It's this that put her in solitary confinement. Even with all the havoc she brings Klee is not bad by nature she is just all playful and curiosity that causes her to think before acting. Klee does try to forgive others for her actions even if they go wrong she still is a kid.

Klee's explosions do help the Knights of Favonius after all she does see them as family. like when Jean used Klee's talent to stop invading Hilichurls. She even helped a mysterious blonde traveler from another world too. Klee's unbreakable bond with everyone at the Knights of Favonius impacted her well. Klee while young still is a great knight even if she loves blowing stuff up.




Experience & Skill

Elvira



When Elvira was in the syndicate she experienced many bounty and monster hunting. After meeting the knight she went on even crazier adventures and experiences. She also received training from Rosetta and can pilot the elvirabium. 


Klee

    
Klee is an expert in explosions at her age. She is always in her workshop experimenting with explosions to become more powerful and stouter. Even before she got her vision she still made explosions without it. Even though she has great knowledge of explosives she is not that bright in other fields given that she is a kid. She has gone against mainly slimes, Hilichurls, and sometimes mitachurls but they get blown away to dust. When she gets into a fight her strategy is to throw as many bombs as possible against her opponent. She also has some knowledge of building as she was able to make a cart from Jumpty Dumpty.

Trouble Maker 



A 5-star weapon in the world of Guardian Tales. This behemoth of a weapon fires explosives apples(yes I know). Goofy as it may sound this weapon is deadly as it can shoot Newton's Apple which when hit will cause Airborne, three big apple grenades, and her apple bomb can leave behind fire after detonation.

Note: Airborne is a status effect in Guardian Tales that can be inflicted on enemies causing them to be stunned. This ailment causes the enemy to be launched into the air and take more damage. They also can't move for two seconds.

Elvirabium

Elvira's greatest weapon. The Elvirabium is a mech that has a lot of weaponry. The following down below are what the Elvirabium has being
  • Flight: The Elvirabium can fly at high speeds 
  • Big ass beam: A big ass laser (coming straight out of Dragon Ball) that can fire and it also causes airborne.
  • apple drones: It can fire Apple drones that fly and shoot lasers 
  • bash and slash attack: The elvirabium can bash over foes and use a type of slash attack 
  • Nuke: The Elvirabium has a nuke that can one-shot anyone even if they are immortal no one can survive it. It can even harm Ghost Guard Oralie who is a spirit.
  • fire bash attack: the Elvirabium can run you over flamingly. it also moves so fast it leaves behind flames.
  • missile barrage: The elvirabium can shoot out some type of missile machine that shoots explosive bullets.


Klee

Dodoco tales

A 4-star catalyst that Klee uses. This book comes with cute short stories and increases her charged attacks. Klee can freely summon and telekinetically move her weapon.

Visions are gifts from gods that allow humans to manipulate the elements in the world of Genshin Impact becoming Allogenes. A Pyro Vision was given to Klee after blowing up her workshop. The vision makes her bomb even stronger than before.

Klee has a variety of bombs that she uses to carry on her many adventures. many mines, sparks, and even deadly explosives that she created. This is before she got her vision with most of the bomb being pre-made.

Elf physiology


Elvira is part elf if you must pay attention to the pointy ears. Being part elf she has increased agility and aim. 
Elves have the following
  • increased agility: Elvira is more agile than the average human. She can leap long distances and jump high. 
  • Slowed aging: Some elves have lived for hundreds of years. 
  • superhuman precision: Elves have great aim like when Another similar elf  Rosetta was able to precisely aim and shoot out other people's firearms.

Pseudo-Precognition

(Context: the red appeared reminding Elvira of Arabelle dropping from the sky)

Guardian Tales characters get these red visual cues when and where a character is about to attack. They can even see the area that the attack will reach.

other abilities

Mischievous Prank -A special ability that allows her to inflict 10% damage to enemies with the same level as her. To enemies with lower levels, inflicts an extra 10% damage per level, up to 100%.

Klee

"Elf" physiology


From the ears alone Klee is an "elf" like her mother they possess magical powers and can live for hundreds of years. The name of their race is unknown though. 



pyro manipulation and constructs 



Klee's pyro vision not only increased the power of her explosions she also gained the ability to manipulate the element Pyro. She can freely create bombs from her hand called Kaboom her standard attack where she throws small bombs. She can even create constructs from her vision like when she created a big pyro construct that fires a laser and when it lands creates an explosion. She can throw out a plush called Jumpty Dumpty that can ignite everything around it causing explosions with every bounce from it and when it explodes it leaves behind mines that can be pulled in with anemo. She can even use her Elemental burst called Sparks 'n' splashes where she causes an explosion around and creates constructs called sparks which home in on the enemy with an explosive like lasers. She can also become pure pyro energy for a plunging attack. Another similar vision user Amber Onced used her vision to create a forcefield.

From all the destruction Klee has caused she has seemingly not been harmed by them. The knights even call her a "lucky star" because she was not harmed by her bombs or explosions. 

Constellations 


Constellations in the Genshin Impact universe make the characters' abilities even stronger with each character having 6 constellations. Klee's constellations being 
  • C1 - Chained Reactions: Klee's regular attacks and skills have a chance of summoning Sparks.
  • C2 - Explosive Frags: Jumpty Dumpty's mines decrease struck opponents' defense. 
  • C3 - Exquisite Compound: Greatly boosts the potency of Jumpty Dumpty.
  • C4 - Sparkly Explosion: While Sparks 'n' Splash is active, Klee can trigger an explosion dealing 555% of her attack power whenever she makes a retreat.
  • C5 - Nova Burst: Greatly boosts the potency of Sparks 'n' Splash.
  • C6 - Blazing Delight: When Sparks 'n' Splash is used, Klee and her allies gain a 10% Pyro Damage bonus for 25 seconds. While Sparks 'n' Splash is active, all of Klee's allies except herself continuously regenerate energy.

Forms

Elvira

Ascent Elvira 

After intense training from Rosetta and getting a new weapon, she was able to reach her Ascent form. In this form, it upgraded her troublemaker weapon from firing apple bombs to apple grenades. She can also fire a laser and missile that can home in on foes. it comes with a miniature elvirabium on her back that has an 8-shot system rocket launcher system with a state-of-the-art cannon and a hyper railgun along with claws.

Weaknesses

Elvira 


Elvira is a naive young girl. most of her weapons need to reload and could leave her open. The Elvirabium can malfunction from electricity and from using the big laser attack causing it to go temporarily down. Most of her abilities have a small cooldown after use.

Klee 



Klee is inexperienced in actual combat. She never really fought against human foes only monsters like slimes, Hilichurls, and the occasional Mitachurl. She needs a real strategy as she throws as many bombs as possible at the enemy. Her elemental skill and burst have a cooldown. She needs elemental energy to be able to use her elemental burst. Her childish and reckless behavior tends to get her into much trouble.

  • Was able to join the knight in Heavenhold on his/her adventures before they "disappeared"
  • She was able to outrun the gang several times 
  • fought and defeated Arabelle who has cybernetics implants on her body 
  • Was able to endure Rosetta's insane training

  • She was able to fight the knight in Chapter 1 even though she lost

Strength
  • Klee caused a forest fire

  • With prep, Klee leveled the entirety of Stormbearer Mountains by mistake by placing too many bombs(Small City level)
  • burned storage shacks down 
  • Razor claimed that she could "easily set an entire mountain on fire by accident"
  • Her bombs can harm Primo Geovishap and he can cause earthquakes (15.146 Kilotons of Tnt)
Note: Klee lacks any physical feats as her main form of attack and destruction is from her bombs. She never got any physical strength training from the other Knights of Favonius.

 Elvira could go on adventures with the knight on heaven-hold so she should scale to him/her before they disappeared. There are a lot of characters that the knight recruited to heavenhold. There are also some characters that Elvira can upscale from.

Knights of Favonius


Klee is said to be the most destructed force in all of Mondstandt putting her firepower above many Knights of Favonius.

Before the Verdict


Did Klee take one of her bombs?

In short no, she did not take an explosion from her bombs. This feat comes from this description. The description just says she blew up her small workshop sky high and we are still not told if she was near the blast. Given her luck of not being harmed by her bombs, it is safe to say that she was not harmed by the explosion.

Does Elvira have "Lasers"?

Elvira does have a laser attack in her character description, it is called a "laser beam", it moves in a straight line, and even in her quick draw with Arabelle it moved in a straight line but when it hit Arabelle, it exploded. It was a simple visual effect as when Arabelle launched her bomb at Elvira it showed the same dust cloud explosion. The Elvirabium also has its own laser attacks and the bots it fires shoot out lasers. 


Jean dodging lighting?

The calculation shows Jean dodging lighting has unfortunately been debunked. The player is controlling Jean so it is more so the player reacting to the lighting when it's about to fall. This would be considered aim dodging and not dodging lightning.

Doesn't Klee have FTL scaling?
No Klee does not have FTL scaling. It comes from scaling Klee to the Traveler(which she doesn't scale to them) who fought ruin grader which can fire what seems to be a "laser". For starters, it was never stated that the ruin grader fired lasers, and the so-called "laser' it fires don't burn the ground as pieces of it come up.


Lightning speed Razor?
Lightning Speed Razor comes from Razor being stated to be "as agile as Lightning" This is simply a simile for Razor being fast and agile like lightning and in another translation it does not mention lightning at all. 


Verdict

Stats

Now to start with Strength, Elvira is physically stronger than Klee, but that's where Klee's bombs come into play. Klee's magic and bombs are like Wolverine's claws that can hurt high-tier enemies but are physically weaker. Klee's bombs were able to harm the ancient geo dragon who can cause earthquakes and placing too many bombs could level mountains but that requires prep. Still, Elvira may be stronger physically even with scaling but Klee's bombs give her the edge.


Next Speed, Elvira takes this easily being able to react down to the milliseconds, and has much equipment that moves at hypersonic speeds. Klee speed feats come from keeping up with an abyss mage who can tag characters like Diluc who is comparable to Jean who can move faster than the eye can perceive and she is equal to Eula who blocked a bullet. She can also scale to Razor and he can move at the speed of electricity which is Mach 1.6. Unfortunately most of Klee's speed feats pale compared to Elvira giving her the win in this category.

Next hax and abilities, both characters have useful hax. Klee's vision gives her Allogene abilities like manipulating Pyro, creating constructs out of it, being resistant to fire, and becoming pure Pyro energy for intelligibility. Other than her vision, she has luck that prevents her from being harmed by her explosions. Elvira does have pseudo-precognition, paralysis inducement, perception manipulation, and acrobatics alongside great aim. Even though Elvira has some great hax and abilities it comes far from the versatility to the vision of Klee.


Next Durability, Elvira takes this. Klee has no known durability feats aside from the fraud feat of "surviving her explosions" which she was not anywhere near Klee doesn't have any actual durability feats. Elvira could start and take an explosion she caused that while it was calculated to be wall level she still survived.



Next, experience and skill in this category Elvira takes it. She went monster and bounty hunting in the syndicate. She went on adventures with the knight before they disappeared. Klee is experienced in creating explosions but in other topics, she doesn't have great knowledge of them.


Lastly, Weapons Elvira takes it. compared to Klee's weapons of pre-made bombs in her backpack and a glider. Elvira on the other hand has a lot to her kit a grappling hook, drill, guns, and explosives in her basket, and the Elvirabium. The Elvirabium has a lot to it coming with flight, a big laser, bots, and a nuke that can bypass immortality.

Tertiary Factors


Regarding Tertiary Factors, both Klee and Elvira have advantages that can end the fight quickly. Klee with her powerful bombs and versatile vision and Elvira with her superior speed and large arsenal. The flight and drones from the elvirabium arsenal could be a big problem for Klee, especially its nuke. Klee's town-level bombs exceed Elvira's durability and her elemental intangilbility would make it hard for Elvira to hit her. Elvira's pseudo-precognition and reaction time would help her avoid Klee's bombs given that her strategy is throwing as many bombs as possible at the opponent. Elvira has more experience and skill than Klee having fought against human foes. The Elvirabium gives Elvira an advantage in mobility given its flight and variety of range weapons that can overwhelm Klee.

Klee's durability is low compared to Elvira's. Given the speed difference, Elvira could blitz Klee before she can throw her bombs or activate her elemental abilities. She can also overwhelm Klee with her large arsenal that can exceed Klee's reaction to see or activate her abilities. The flight and range from Elvira would give her a good time to hit Klee from a distance and the nuke that can bypass any defense Klee has. Even though Klee has many powerful bombs that can end the fight thanks to Elvira's speed, arsenal, experience/skill, and the physical strength to end the fight more than Klee.

While Klee is the destructive spark knight she unfortunately can blow away the apple god. Klee's victory was envisioned but she couldn't Tale to keep up with Elvira. The winner of this fight goes to Elvira.
